As an entrepreneur who can't sit still, Anthony L Mayer has over 25 years of hands-on business success in multiple businesses from hospitality to marketing. As founder of the business Image Direct in 2002, his team won the Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards in 2009 (Anthony then sold the business in 2010),
In his next venture, Anthony and his then partner took the Morwell Motel to #1 in Australia on TripAdvisor and then again took over the Gippsland Business Awards by winning in the Accommodation category and taking out Business of the Year in 2014.
Anthony has created and managed hundreds of marketing strategies and website builds and has over 11 years of digital strategy experience. Anthony attributes most of his success to the amazing people he has had the opportunity to work with. Within Online is Easy, there is a network of specialised skill sets that help Anthony to bring innovative and up-to-date solutions to his clients.
Anthony is currently a keynote speaker and facilitator for Australia Post Go and Grow events around Australia for Think.Digital and is a key facilitator for #GippslandDigital teaching pathways between pre-accredited training, accredited training and employment in Gippsland.

History
Anthony grew up in Yinnar, a little country town in Gippsland, Victoria with a population of 500. At the age of 10, Anthony was programming Basic on his Commodore 64 and held two weekend jobs, one of them was umpiring weekend football and the other was doing odd jobs at the local pub.
The years in between have seen Anthony trying to combine his love of technology, hospitality and community service.
In his early 20’s he worked in the Vancouver Stock Exchange as part of a private business that was providing revolutionary digital print services. He then travelled in the UK doing occasional freelance graphic design and managing over 13 public houses in the UK in his 20’s. In his 30’s he founded a digital print and design business back near his home town and family which he sold after 10 years.
With a partner, Anthony was easily lured back into hospitality 2013 and their 22 rural motel won Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice™ Winner 2014 - Best Service, Australia and Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards, Business of the Year and Accommodation Winner. Anthony and his partner presented at the Gippsland Tourism Conference the following year.
Anthony has worked in, on and around small business all his life. He has presented at conferences and led training seminars. Anthony has been involved in youth mentoring at the Traralgon College and was actively involved in Rotary from 2002 to 2016, he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in 2010. Anthony has been on the executive committees of the Traralgon Chamber of Commerce and the Latrobe City Business Tourism Association.
